What shoots 7.62x25 ammo?

I like the ammo price. I just need to gun. I see the VZ52 and TT33. Which is better?

Better yet are there any long guns?

And I like the TT33 better.

I second that. Even if cz52 is absolutely wonderful peace of engineering.

I like the Russian TT33 better than the CZ-52 pistol. Fits my hand better and has a smoother action.

I like the TT33 because it's pretty much the russian version of the 1911.

Romanian Tokarevs shoot the 7.62 x 25, a fine weapon.

Is a TT-33 at $320 out the door a good price? That's an excellent condition example at $230 + shipping + $75 transfer.

I would consider that a steal, but I haven't bought one for years.

It's not a genuine Soviet piece. It's a Romanian surplus that we see so many of on the market right now.

The main reason I want one is because of the cheap ammo. I think it's something like $100 for 1200 rounds. If only 9mm Para is this cheap...:(

Just poke around and you can find deals like that.

www.ammoengine.com is a good search engine for ammo prices.

cheaperthandirt, sportsmansguide, JGsales, AIMsurplus, Century, all have very cheap 7.62x25 for sale.

I ordered a crate of the Romanian (2 cans + opener in the original crate) for $298 delivered from Ammoman.com. $ 0.12 per round. Ordered on a Thursday, was at my door by the next Friday. Good Stuff.

I've been shooting the 80's Romanian in my CZ-52 with no issues. The new headstamps match the headstamps that I bought a couple years a go from ammotogo.com. I had a TT-33, I'd use it there too. Now to get a TT-33. Maybe next year IF I get a tax refund, and IF I go out of state so I can cash and carry with my C&R.

CZ52's will take(in fact, may even require) harsher ammo. Tokarevs however, are not blessed with that strength.

no,no,no, doubt it would chamber, probably blow it up if you could. 7.62x25 is too high pressure.

From what I've found on the web, its the bulgarian stuff you have to watch out for. I went through this exercise when I bought by cz52 since I didn't want to blow it up but can't find my research.
My advice is for people to do their research and make an educated decision on what to shoot. Oh... and wear your safety glasses!

There was a guy working on an AK chambered in X25. Looks pretty cool and the ammo is dirt cheap, I picked up 1200 for 101$ shipped. That was Century surplus in a galvi sealed can.

Just spotted this on SOG:

https://www.southernohiogun.com/index.php/new-arrivals/sterling-7-62x25-cal-pistol.html

Sterling 7.62X25 Cal. Pistol

New production pistols in 7.62X25 caliber. 4 1/2" barrel, 13 1/4" overall length and comes with 1-20 round stick magazine.

Of course it's not "safe" for Kommiefornia.

Don't got the wookie arms to cock a bowcaster... Plus, E-11's good enough for imperials, good enough for pest control :chris: [/OT]

So OP, did you get a chance to get more thoughts of our discussion topic?

Also, I've been looking into making a small packing carbine in 7.62x25... since the ammo's readily available and I happen to have a chamber reamer and blank .30caliber barrel :D

Though I cant decide, 7.62x25 or 5.7x28... I got mags, barrels, and reamers for both...

I bought my Romanian TT-33 from J&G sales for $199.99. Not only is it cheap to shoot, but the ammo is readily available (which is why I bought it in the first place). I am extremely pleased with mine, which has only jammed once in probably 800 rounds.

Very Nice! Wish I lived a tad closer to the AZ boarder though I think my wife would not agree.
