Hi,
Just wanted to say I took the plunge and bought an OLL. Stag.
Have to put in a plug for 10 Ring enterprises, if anyone is around Chico, Red bluff, Redding. Thanks for putting up with all my talking Lori. (I have to modes - I don't talk, or I don't shut up.:D) Anyway nice place, great service.
Now all I have to do is figure out what I want to build. Dang, I didn't know there were so many different options. I think 16 inch A3 CAR, but still tons of choices for that. Can't afford to do it all at once so theres time to look and drool.
Oh well another case of black rifle disease.

Pretty soon you'll be buying another OLL even when the first one is not finish yet. Lots of choices what configuration and accessories. I'm thinking the first one will be a 5.56 or 223, but then again there are other calibers to choose from. Decisions, decisions...

What he said :43: Once you start, you cannot stop. It is an addiction unto it's own. Be prepared to be on CalGuns constantly looking for more things to buy ;)

No pics,:(. Still gotta wait the 10 days, well 7 now. Plus I've never posted pics before. It's just a standard stag lower, but it's mine.:D

These videos will get you there in style and they are free:

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/lid=11004/guntechdetail/How_to_Build_An_AR-15_Video

They will also highlight some of the tools that are worth investing in if you want to do it right.

Also, I would highly recommend this AGI video:

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=25571/Product/_323_BUILDING_THE_AR_15

It's a bit dated, but it covers the things you need to learn about if you've never built an AR. Good old Bob Dunlap is great, he's funny and knows his stuff.

Good luck!

Best,

Michael

Thanks for all the welcomes and links to assembly guides. I just copied the cal guns stuff to my hard drive. I'll check the other stuff when I get the chance.
I only have internet at work, so I can only check in before, or on breaks.
Thanks again.

BRD -- nasty stuff. Ijust "had" to purchase another OLL today. After all, I have this beautiful 14.5 CMMG upper just sitting there, so I HAD to get a CMMG lower to match it...

Really, I had to.

Just wait, it only gets worse!

Congrats and welcome to Calguns!
