Just bought my first OWB leather holster, but it creaks pretty loud as I walk. It's the movement of the belt against the holster.

Do they all do this and eventually break-in?

Did you ever play baseball as a kid? Ever have to break in a glove? Same thing. Leather is leather.

I like mink oil to help soften them up and baby powder helps on the squeeks.

A riding Horse - hunt seat trainer showed me to use olive oil on my fancy Stuben Saddles & tack my first wife rode horses & first collar bone break was jumping horses

Since then I oil most of my leather goods with olive oil the dogs love it.

Work/hiking boots, shooting slings, belts, etc. I haven't done holsters and I would only do the outside of the holster.

I'm not sure how olive oil acts with blued guns.
