I have these BUIS, but I don't know if they are considered a1 or a2. How would I be able to determine the difference besides measuring it?

The front post uses 4 prong sight tools.

haha I'm still in the process of learning about my AR. I'm confused about how to zero my rifle. I remember reading somewhere about how A1 and A2 front sights have a different height post or something?

well there are different front sight post. as the flat top uppers require a taller front sight to line up with the clamp on carry handle sight. The older A1 front sights and newer A2 front sights have different numbers of prongs for adjusting them.
