Just a heads up for anyone interested, Bar Sto Precision has opened a new division, Bar Sto Pistols, and we are in the process of getting a new double column 1911 pistol approved for California.

For additional information please call the shop at 760-367-2747.

Welcome, Bob.

Your post was simple and to the point and posted in the right area. That's not spam!

And I'm sure many folks here would be glad to know of a quality double-stack 1911 that will be CA-legal!

Sounds good to me! Just do not give up on making barrels for other makers too! http://calguns.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The Bar-Sto reputation is formidable, how about just making a single-stack 1911?

Made right here in CA? I'd take one...

Hi Bob I'm good for at least one. Please get it out before the mandatory mag disconnect law kicks in.

Would this possibly work with existing STI/SV mags?

Can these pistols be made into raceguns to compete with the STI's, SVI's, Caspian's, and Para-Ord's?

FYI

Bob reported on the Brian Enos forum that the gun will be available in all calibers but .40 first in CA. I take that as 9mm, 40 and 45. It will have a long wide dustcover and be competition ready out of the box for $2,100. Ready more here (http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24315)

Ok, it's early June (perhaps a little too early) and still no pics of the up and coming Bar-sto 2011 style pistol. Here is their website: http://www.barsto.com/barsto_guns.cfm

I've also poked around the benos forums and not a peep (unless I've been poking at the wrong spots).

I'm thinking that if they wanted to submit and open gun for testing, mount a scope mount on there with NO optic (Alchin, Grams, Springfield, etc.), put a 8+ pound trigger on it so it can pass the stupid ***** test. Once a new shooter takes hold of it, remove the heavy trigger and put in a lighter one. And he/she is READY TO RACE! Now, about those pesky and elusive mags.... http://www.calguns.net/banghead.gif

Anyone heard of anything??? http://calguns.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif I'm giddy with anticipation! http://www.calguns.net/laughroll.gif
