Me and a buddy went to the pala range by the casino today and had a great time. The guys that worked there where knowledgeable and helpful. We were at the range that was on the east side with targets for pistol and steel and paper out to 200 yds. The range that is to the west has targets out to 890 yards, a couple of fridays a month they go to the smaller east side range. There where tables, chairs and benches that were covered and thats about it. I shot my mini14 and my buddy brought his pistol and ar15 with a 30/10 round mag and no one had any complaints. They helped with the spotting scope to get my rifle dialed in and we even made a barricade that would catch my brass that shoots 50 ft and hits people on the other side of the range. All in all it was a good day of shooting at a range that i will definitly be going back to. Nothing like the sound of steel in the morning.

glad you had a good time, what's the deal with that range? I have heard its a members only range and there is a set schedule? But it sounds like you went there to shoot, well, how you want to shoot.
I shot one of the USPSA matches out there and would love to be able to get out there more to shoot on steel

If you are a non-member you can shoot on mondays and fridays from 8 or 9 am till 2pm. And like I said a couple of fridays a month they are at the small range. Check it out here (http://www.ncsapala.com/)

I will be headed back there as soon as I find the ammo tree growing in my back yard.
