I always bring a side arm and a rifle for my National Forest treks. I'm going up to my spot on the 17th. I plan on bringing the 92F and the M4gery - KISS build. Keeping it simple and light.

At a minimum, I bring the .45 - even for the civilized campgrounds as you never know. I just keep it under wraps.

Just out of curiosity, why can't you bring all three?
Bring the one that you have the most ammo for. Don't run low!!!

I vote 03A3. If someone runs across you while carrying your rifle, they will see a hunting rifle and not an "evil assault weapon".

'Course if you're backpacking, I'd go for the lightest of the three.

i cant bring all 3 cause im the only "shooter" going. its on private property so i'll see mabey 3 other people (calpine workers) we there is a cabin ( we sleep out side) where we are at which was a wells fargo stage coach stop back in the day

I voted for the M1A Scout. The detachable magazines make clearing the rifle easier than the other two. if you have a fiberglass stock it also makes it a little lighter than the other two.

Although the Garand will make a better match for the 1911 I like the 1903A3 just keeping everything simple and like going back in time.

Everyone needs a 10\22. I'd go with the 1903. Bolt actions are fun.

go with the 03a3 it lighter then the other 2, plus it more comfortable to carry over your`e shoulder. all you need is some stripper clips to feed it.

It's deer season out there! I guess it all depends where your camped.
I'm not sure you can be (or want to be) out of camp with a death stick. You may want to check that thought. Just my 2c. -gary

if it were me, i would take the m1a. It is production rifle, the others are collectors items. Camping is inherently dirty and rough on gear. Might as well f@@@ up the one thats still being built....

I'd bring a .22 if you have one. They are quiet and attract much less attention.
