Just wondering if there's a good source for what to look for when buying specific rifles and and how much to pay and things like that.
Thanks.

Nice page, but it looks like it hasn't been updated since '04. Nice list of stuff for reference though.

Actually, I have found good to very good rated rifles in the last few months that are in the same price range as they list in the good to very good range. You just have to work the auction sites.

I recently picked up a very good Hakim for $450. They list the price range as $420-$570.

In my experience (which consists of looking at those types of books at bookstores) is that they are outdated as soon as they are printed. You are much better off buying a specific collector's book (like Hitler's Garands) and researching the different variations of a rifle and then cross-referencing that with prices on gunbroker and reading stuff over at www.gunboards.com. You cannot go wrong with that technique; you'll know what to look for and quickly see what kind of value that brings. Doing so will let you know a deal when you see one and not get ripped off.

Wow, thats a great resource. Never saw that before but I have bookmarked it.
Prices may be a tad low, but maybe the prices are coming down to that again. Very nice.
