Go to Bright Spot Pawn in Riverside. They sell Lowers and you can support a local shop.

I think you can get a lower at Bright Spot for around $185.00 plus $25.00 DROS fee.

If you think about it.... buying one online for $110.00 (like a Stag) and paying shipping of $5.00 to $25.00 (probably on the higher end of this scale) plus a transfer fee of typically around $50.00 plus DROS fee, you might as well just walk in and buy one in stock for the $185.00...:)

Bright Spot is also a very comfortable place to do business... no "gun store commando's" to deal with! Ask for Chris....

Please don't start untrue rumors if you didn't speak with them directly. They have lowers out there and can transfer them.

What's the specific date that you were last there doing a transfer?
Perhaps they got their new FFL all setup in the last fews days...

I know they were switching their FFL to a different type. Something happened in the process and their FFL has expired or is just about too.

Makes me sad because thats where I got my lower from.

Check out Ammo Bros out in ontario. They have lowers in stock, or CWS

I was going to do a ppt there a couple of weeks ago and they still didn't have everything together to get their ffl back. Should have been fixed about the first of the month but they're still waiting last time I checked. Maybe another week or so. Long story short, it was a state screw up and they had to file some paperwork again. Nothing they did wrong. I'd still call them before you go over there.

Perhaps you should call them yourself to get the facts from rumors. I know what I posted are facts rather than rumors about them because I personally contacted them.

Something happened in the process and their FFL has expired or is just about too.

What happened is that their FFL got pulled due to too many paperwork errors.
They hired someone else with a clean paperwork record and they are getting an FFL in that new person's name.
In the mean time, Bill Edison is covering for them since he's only a few minutes up the road.
They are referring people there for transfers.

Both are good people.

You can also try Centerfire arms in Riverside. They are OLL friendly as well.
No problems with CWS either.

As several people here have said, you would be $$$ ahead by just purchasing off the shelf from someone listed here.

fyi for all you brightspot fans:

i got a call from chris (from brightspot) yesterday saying they are pretty much out of it for now until they get their new FFL up and running. their last day to DROS was this past tuesday, the 6th. no new DROS's until they get the new FFL. unknown ETA on that though, but hopefully it will be days and not weeks or even worse - months. i have my fingers crossed it will be sooner than later.

for those that have something there to pick up, you'd better pick it up before your 30 days are up or the 16th of this month, whichever is sooner.
