Kimber gold match II stainless, good choice?

I'm helping somebody pick out a thank you gift for a customer, I don't have any info on the person the gun is for, except I know they want a kimber 1911 and they compete in some class of rifle(telling me accuracy will be important).
So now I have to pick something out from Kimber's lineup. This is where I need help.

Narrowing it down it needs to be:

Kimber
Full size
.45
accurate (most crucial)
1,500.00 price range

I'm leaning towards the Gold Match II in stainless, unless there is something I need to know or a better choice exists.....



Oh, and I only have like 24hrs to come up with something. :eek:

Several models of Kimber are on back order until 2010. It would be worth finding out what is available first, then work on model options.

Most everything can be changed later, if needed (like target sights). What is hard to fix (or costly) are things like front strap checking, or color (material).

Some other models to consider:

Warrior
Tactical Custom II
