This is my first post..

I have a M4 style AR, with the holes on the bottom of the fore grip. I am looking for a bipod with some kind of quick release adapter system that will attach to this. It also needs quick release attachments for a regular weaver style mount.

Basically I want to be able to share 1 bipod for 3 rifles. Switching quickly with no tools.

Thanks for your help.

If price isn't a huge issue, you can get a Bobro Engineering BLAC bipod.

Arredondo makes a pretty good one and it's a decent price -

Can anybody recommend what is better? 6-9 inch harris or 9-13 inch harris?

These would go on both an AR15 and my POF 308.

I went with the 6-9 inch. But for something alot quicker to switch between rifles than a bipod and alot cheaper, you can use a sandbag :)

I'd go with 9-13. 6 is really short, hardly even useful. 9 Isn't too tall, yet you can go up if needed.

depends. if you're shooting off a bench, a 6-9 is fine. if you're laying out, the 9-13 might be a little bit better.

I went with the 6-9 from a recommendation by some folks at Larue that this would be best fir most AR applications.

FYI I bought the Harris with integrated Larue QD. http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/Detail.bok?no=263

If you have a railed handguard this is the ****. :) Its very solid, locks right up to my 1913 rail and only weighs 13.5ozs so its a few ounces lighter than the standard models with separate QD.

From what I've heard, the M99 sandbag is much more difficult to collapse, hump to your firing point, and properly adjust at your new firing point:D

GG&G bipod slides on, tightens (and loosens) with twist of a thumbscrew -- very secure when on -- very east to take off with no tools. Opens great. I love it.
