I have seen OLL that are plain and some that are painted on the side where the SN and other ID markings are.

How is this done and what materials are best to do this?

Thanks.:D

For a temporary fill in to see if you like it- grab a crayon and rub away to fill in the markings.

Got it. If I like it how do I make the color perm?

Hobby store tester paint and micro brushes. Use a little thinner to cut the paint and drip a drop into the roll marks and the paint will chase the grooves.

How long does this last if done right?

Just as long as anything else painted.

1) rub crayon to fill in
2) heat it with a lighter to melt the crayon * note - turn it upward so the melted crayon does not drip
3) then wipe/clean around the # & ID (with cleaner wipe or any cleaning agent you wish)
4) repeat step if needed (to apply thicker coat?)
