I am very happy with the purchase. Put 450 +/- rounds through her this weekend without a single malfunction of any kind. Used 3 differrent kinds of Ammo (Wolf 62gr, Federal 55 gr, and PMC 55 gr) with zero problems. Sprayed a couple of squirts of break free at the start of the day and that was it.

This thing is more accurate out of the box than I expected. Firing from a kneeling position with the rifle resting on a chair back in front of me, I was able to consistantly hit a 6 inch target at 100 yrds with iron sights after dialing it in. I was also getting 1 to 1 1/2 inch groups at 25 yrds with the Eotech 512.

Overall, I'm very impressed with this rifle.

Another satisfy customer, I too like my 2T. I was very surprise how well it shot Wolf 55gr (400 rounds) So far I have shot about 800 rounds and no issues whatsoever

Stag makes quality rifles. I've been disappointed at all the Stag-bashing going on the past 6 months or so. I got to handle one of the 2T models the other day and it felt like a $1500 rifle. Glad you got one and you're happy with it!

The Stag 2T is a great value, with a factory installed Samson rail and ARMS sight. Those two parts are worth over $350 alone. Here's a NIB 2T for sale:

Congrats, I also just shot my new rifle for the first time. Those stags do look nice! I almost picked a model 2 carbine upper but went with the CMMG middy instead. I'm sure you will have fun with it. :D

I was looking at silver bear ammo but I've heard all the horror stories about steel cases. I ended up buying PMC and Federal, but I'm glad to hear that you guys haven't had any problems with wolf. I may have to try some out...

Stag 2T is an awesome upper. Wes sold me the first EBR I ever bought, set me up with a 2t after talking on the phone, I love it. It hits from 50yd to 550 yds with consistency and it feels great with a UBR on the rear.

What's funny is when I read on here, I think I need to run out and build a DD or Noveske setup...im just fooling myself, the Stag is bad.

every stag part I've owned (LPK, lower, 6 pos stock, and 2h upper) has functioned flawlessly.

I bought the parts for a 1h build and a 4h build - got a lower from Irvington Arms (Great service and install of LPK)

Got to shooting them and kept hitting whatever it was I was looking at over the sights. nearly a 1000 rounds (over 5 days camping) between the two and never a hitch.

Excellent products. I highly recommend them.

I'm still waiting for my DPMS upper in .308 - ordered in September 2008!!!

Me too! I keep seeing 16" AP4 uppers but I am looking for a 22" - 24" upper.

About 2 years ago, I decided I wanted a(nother) AR, but this time, I specifically wanted a bare-bones LE/Military-style "classic" M4. I had a couple of stripped STAG-15 lowers in the safe (collecting dust), so I decided to build one up and I ordered all the necessary remaining parts from STAG to make a complete Model 1. My experience with it is the same as everyone else here: pure reliability and very respectable accuracy from a sub-1K AR carbine. Yes, STAG makes a GREAT gun, period!

+1 I did the same and made a Model 1....I couldn't be happier with it.

The only thing I added was a little 5-space rail to accommodate the QD VFG. Otherwise, "OEM."

I went through most of it but I also had help from a buddy and his son shooting it. The rifle was in use the whole day, even though I had other weapons there.

Nice pictures from some of you guys. I like your setups.

My next gun is going to be something in .308. Either an M1a or an AR-10 type build.

alright i am glad to hear that many ppl happy with Stag arms. For a while ive been reading up on ppl bashing this brand and how CMMMG is a much better buy. Personally i love my 2HT A WHOLE DAMN LOT. The gun is perfect for me to play around the local fields. I really dont need a $1,500+ ar. The 2HT with magpul stock set me back $900 for the whole build. very happy with it

Just shot mine again this last weekend. Best AR I've ever owned. (I have owned 4 others, including 2 builds) Its accurate, works flawlessly, and eats any ammo you feed it. Wolf, Bear, steel, brass coated, it doesnt matter... CMMMG is OVERRATED!

Any questions? Just refer to my name...

Ive had a stag 2HT upper for over a year now (same upper that comes on the complete 2T) roughly shot 2k Rnds through it and is still very accurate and feels brand new..

i did have some issues that was stags own fault from I guess the factory when it was made..The barrel nut was really loose from the day I bought it, and a few pins were installed backwards (as i was told by Addax tactical who dissembled my upper to to fix the play i had in the rail..)

But overall its been a freaking reliable and accurate gun. Shot plenty of wolf, reloads, and factory ammo through it with no issues and great accuracy with even wolf ammo

I bought a STAG in 2007 and still going strong. No problem using all kinds of ammo including Wolf. I just wished they have a 14.5 bbl or even a 14.7 with the A2 birdcage.

Can those with the Stag 16" uppers advise if yours has the latest M4 feed ramps? I have heard that some of them did not.
