View Full Version : Who thinks that CMMG does not properly stake their carrier keys?

I have seen a few M4 "charts" that make certain claims. You decide for yourself. These cleaning wipes were supposed to be "lint free," I think they meant "free lint."

CMMG stopped using the straight line tap method of staking over a year ago. Now the staking looks like Colt.

Caption doesnt say CMMG.. it says CMT.

Post #7 has a pic of a CMMG properly staked.

btw, all my Bushmaster BCG were NOT properly Staked. took me several trips to the range to find out why i was short stroking.

If you're really worried that it might 'fail' during your next thousand round firefight, Brownell's (http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=29337/Product/AR_15_M16_CARRIER_KEY_STAKING_TOOL) makes a tool that will let you sleep at night. ;)
