Are there two different guns in the shots?

I have a DE and really like it, many barrels... That does appear to be different ones but sometimes the lighting will fool you:confused:

Or it was refinished, which some do... Or it is not the one for sale:eek:

I would brush out the serial number for show and tell.

Nothing makes it illegal...?

What makes it legal is that its a 44 mag. The 44 mag and 357 DE are California legal.

I am not sure about the real fine points regarding the law and the 50 AE in CA... I bought the 44 in CA all the 50AE barrels came from other locations. Via the mail.

But, I have a feeling if they want to mess with you and you have a 50 cal barrel only, with it, you could be messed with??? Anyone know for sure?

Sort of like, "they sell them" but you are not supposed to have them, outside your home:confused: Knives, batons, saps, come to mind.

As far as I know, it is not illegal to have a .50 AE Desert Eagle, so long as you bought a California-legal .44 Desert Eagle and installed the .50 AE barrel to it (acquired separately or in addition to the purchase of the gun). The legal Desert Eagle is matte black, .44 and includes an additional firing pin safety of which some people are not fond. This model was submitted for the incredibly ridiculous "drop-test" and of course passed. This is not to say that any other model or finish would not pass, but rather only one model was submitted as doing so for each variation is very expensive to the submitting company.

By the way (to the OP), if I didn't already have one I would seriously consider yours. Good luck.

You can get a originial .50 as long as its a XIX and is from an inner state xfer.. I'm almost 100% on this info.. can someone confirm? on the XIX model?

I bought my brushed stainless DE .44 about 6 months ago. From Turner's of all places! Maybe I'm special and got the only Ca legal one! woo hoo!

A) The legality discussion shouldn't take place in this thread.
B) There are exactly two DE models listed on the roster (http://certguns.doj.ca.gov/) as being able to sold non-PPT in CA:
* DE44CA BC / Steel Pistol 6" .44 Magnum
* Desert Eagle Mark XIX DE44CA/blk oxide / Steel Pistol 6" .44 Magnum
C) The .50 BMG laws only apply to .50BMG, not .50AE. Same as any pistol, you can change caliber/color/whatever after purchase (as long as you don't turn it into an assault weapon by adding a threaded bbl or foregrip).

Who said anything about 50BMG?

Great looking gun. How do the wood grips hold up?

And why is that A...

Questions and answers, for one who want their rights, would you stop that part of the scenario...

Buyer beware :43:
