View Full Version : Front Sight / Gas Block

I want to ditch my A2 front Sight due to using magnifier and eotech.

Anyone have a non computer generated picture of this thing?

Or is there a better combo out there?

That's a pretty darn good one. It comes on their "dominator" uppers - so if you search this forum or the interwebs you can probably come up with some example pictures.

Here's one I found by doing a quick search of our .223 gallery thread. Photo courtesy of Aftermath686.

would I be better off just getting a low pro gasblock and attaching a troy flip up to the handguard?

I don't think one of those choices would be better than the other - it would be purely aesthetic. BUT, I guess if you go the low-pro route you can switch out the TROY for something else if you don't like it.

Would this one function / look better with an Omega Rail? Is it better to have the sight lock or not?

Or an Arms folding frontsight/gas block, Vltor has a nice one.

I want the KAC one made for the SR-15. But they're impossible to find. I heard they also need to be installed by a gunsmith. :(

If it's going on a gun with BCM upper, the barrel should be parkerized under the FSP right?

I read somewhere that some people are not happy with the VLTOR Gas Block Sight? Saying part of it was just painted and the sight was annodized?

I still can't decide. is the ARMS one really that good? like the idea, but not sure I like that how sticks up above the rail some.

I like the GG&G one, but I'm not sure it is good for it to lock in the upright position?

BCM is parked under the FSB.

How come you want to get rid of the standard? Most people don't tend to notice the FSB magnified or not. I don't notice it either.

With a magnifier you won't even notice the A2 sight.

Leave it on. Don't fix something that's not broken.

I was about to say this same thing. The second picture has the same setup the OP is talking about.
