I fit 8 rounds in there, you think I will have any issues if I transported my AR in my trunk like this?

Its legal. It may "rattle".

I personally took the storage off my UBR. Nice pic BTW.

i don't but you shouldn't have any issues in theory - but it only takes one uninformed LE and you're going to get some trouble. ...and there are plenty of uninformed LE out there.

got battery powered sights? Store some batteries or maybe a bore snake.

UBR's cost to dang much. I'll stick to my CTR and A2's for now.

I put my BB tool in there. In a real world scenario, what would a DM or soldier put in the UBR, Emod or VFG ? It rattles with anything in there. Not very quiet. I know in the pistol grip there are bolt, firing pin battery holder inserts, are they quiet? I have always wondered if it is really functional in true conflicts.

I tossed I piece of foam in the bottom of my tango down so it wedges batteries and tool snug...thy are sandwiched in there. I also used the "pressure switch" rubberband thing in there too......no rattle at all.

I tried putting stuff in stocks, grips and VFGs but having multiple rifles each with multiple compartments I would forget what was where. So I just stopped using those little compartments.

well with 8 rounds in my UBR it really doesn't rattle much. If you're trying to be sneaky the ammo doesn't bounce around.

Just curious, why store ammo in there? It's not like those 8 rounds will make any more difference then your other 8-10 loaded mags. I would store spare springs, bolt (if it fits) crucial parts to keep your AR running. What good are those 8 spare rounds if your firing pin breaks? Just food for thought.

UBR or no UBR, I don't like rattle.

I believe that there isn't a problem legally, but aman with a blue suit and a badge may believe differently, and he may be the one to take you and your rifle into custody.

If you are worried about having ammo attached to your rifle but NOT in a position where it can be fired, just keep a copy of People v. Clark in your range bag. This is the case law that defined a weapon as NOT being loaded even if ammunition (in this case, attached to the rear buttstock) is attached o the rifle.

Hehe, or just fold it up and store it with the rounds in the stock :D

It would be more practical to keep those rounds loaded in a magazine in a pouch of your rifle case.

I would use that storage area for spare Aimpoint batteries, springs, detents, extractor, and any other small part that could get lost while you are away from all of your spare parts.
