How many people would actually be interested in a JAE group buy

Im posting this here as a question rather than a commercial deal because I wanted to see what the intrests here are for these stocks I was thinking of getting one for my self and I figure why not pass it down. and if no one is even interested in it than so be it :)

Is this for Remington 700s, M1As, or both?

I am very interested in the JAE stock for the Remington 700. However, I e-mailed Lisa Jones, their sales rep, a couple days ago and she said the current lead time for the 700 stocks is Feb/March 2010. They have not finished the tooling to start production yet.

What can I say? After 2 M-21s, I wanted to scope my M1-A. This stock is THE answer. Makes the gun more accurate. Easy to see through a scope.
And the people that make it aren't dicks.
That's win-win-win.

I can attest to that, I was an early adopter a few years back on the Gen1 when it went public. Lisa and crew were really good and kept me updated per the wait, and the product I got was well done. Sure you pay for it, but then who else makes titanium lugs to solid mount the action to such a nice stock?

Those sure are some pretty rifles :) Are they really all that heavy? How do they feel shooting them standing up? How's the balance?
The full sized M1a walnut stock is said to be heavy but it if you hold it just right, its not too bad.

Everyone wants desert tan for article pix. I like my guns black (or in this case, gray)

I would be intrested in one but it all depends on pricing. Would this work on a poly m14?

Call Lisa at JAE and she will tell you about putting their stock on Poly-14s

I'm definitely a tire-kicker right now. The 10 days just started to run today on my M1A, so ... yeah, not sure yet.

My experience (and anyone else that's done group buys will tell you the same thing) is that 90% of people that say they will participate in a group buy, end up not participating.
So shade whatever results you get in threads like this where you are trying to gauge interest.

If you want to know who the real buyers are, it's easy, take fully refundable deposits for 80% of the expected sale price.
That works REAL good at weeding out tire kickers.
