Ive already googled the heck out of this, but does anyone know anything about knight armament rail system retrofit for triangle type handguards. a buddy of mine is looking for a value because he had four of them

I don't believe Knights Arm makes drop in rail systems that accomidate triangle handgaurd caps. Looking on their site, the front of their drop-in rails look like that only allow round caps.

they will drop right into the triangle front without a problem
you do not need any retrofit kit to do this
and they are selling anywhere from 100 or so up to 200

Rifles and mid-lengths will generally have a triangular handguard cap.
Carbines will have a round cap.

Snap-in rail systems SHOULD be setup to accomodate the handguard cap that's on the barrel.
