View Full Version : Fallen for JAE' Stocks

I am in love with the JAE stocks, and am thinking about using one for my first big rifle build. I am thinking about the going the Remington 700 route since I do not own a bolt action rifle, and an M14/M1A JAE build would be a bit more than I am currently willing to spend.

Anyone have any experience with the JAE stocks? Anything you would recommend (are there any worthwhile options you didn't get, or something useless you wish you hadn't?) Also which Remington 700 would you consider for the base for this build?

308 right? get the most basic one possible since you are trying to built it up... and the factory stock will be useless to you

I know you didn't want to go with the m1a or m14 route, but my friend has a jae stock and it is rock solid. looks very cool, but it is very, very heavy. made the 308 recoil feel more like 556.

he said he didnt have any problems at all mounting it, and it is very accurate. hope that helps.

Both are good weapons. You can make the Rem 700 a real tack driver. Buy a good scope. FWIW, the Rem 700P SPS comes well equipped.
