Attached is a PDF of the flyer we're printing for distribution to FFLs, vendors and anyone who will let us put some on the counter. I have some stock here in Bay Area, NorCal if anyone can help me get these out; if you're in another location and want to help I will have these run and cut at a Kinkos in your area; all you have to do is pick them up and get them out. Please email me at wildhawker@gmail.com if you can help.
Hat tip to obeygiant et al for their hard work and push to get this into the wild.

Didn't make it to the Cow Palace this weekend. I hope these are prominently displayed there!

It would be helpful to place an argument for our position on the back so that a citizen might read and gain an impetus to make the phone call.
As it stands, there is no education as to the consequences of inaction should the Governor sign the bill.
Don't ever assume the person/s you are handing these to have any knowledge of the topic. Don't ever assume that anyone will go home and research the topic. You have one shot at the people and that is when you hand them the flyer; you're argument had better be there. It is not.
my 2 cents...

8 ball, it's an issue of time, simplicity and cost/benefit- direct them to CGN or CalNRA for more info.

As I stated, people aren't going to do that by and large. Further, for the purposes of this flyer, it shouldn't require anything other than making the call. I'm not going to take the time to call if I don't have a reason to. Americans are inundated with requests for action... Make it easy.
Flyers like this could be printed by individual members to hand out to friends, neighbors, relatives, the mall, gun shops, ranges, etc.
The point is to make contact and get action. Why force folks to do additional legwork in order to act.
I keep returning to the idea of getting the word out to someone other than the choir.

You make a good point and I will have to revise them to accommodate the additional information.

Do you not feel that 'ban on internet ammo sales' and 'ban on cow palace gun show' are sufficient?
I think most people in CA already expect that nothing good comes out of the legislature.

I would be more than happy to make a 2-sided version if anyone can finance the difference. Being that I am currently producing these at my sole expense, you'll understand when I say that the 25000 I want to produce and distribute in the next 2 weeks must consider the cost-benefit of another side of info.

It probably is for someone who is informed and already cares. If you want to reach someone who might not be aware, or misinformed, or whatever else, it will take a bit more information. It seems that if the effort is being made, it may as well reach the widest number of people. I think your assumption is unfounded.

How about this. If the funds don't justify 2 sided printing, print one side. However, do the artwork and provide the arguments on the back so that members, LIKE ME, can print them out at our expense and hand them out.
In the time that I've argued this, I could have distributed 200 flyers.

I don't have access to a duplex color printer here at home but tomorrow when I get into work I will print them out and see if they line up correctly and make any adjustments necessary so that duplex printing won't be an issue.

Ok guys, 2-sided CGN flyer going into final prepress tomorrow AM - thanks 8-ball!
Should be heading to press by Wedsnesday; distribution points will be established throughout the state with local Calgunners. I will setup a thread for this outreach effort in the Calguns Official Events forum tomorrow. We need people ASAP who can hold stock of these at their work/home and supply Calgunners who will drive these to the FFLs/Vendors (including retailers like Big5, Wal Mart, etc.) and get them into the hands of customers. If anyone can help get these flyers out it would be much appreciated!!

Will FFLs be willing to pass these out if the flyers are intended to help keep internet ammo sales alive?

All of my shooting and martial arts buddies are all on e-mail. As such, I doubt that I will print any, but it is a very nice PDF to send to the list.
I've gotten positive replys so far.

Gene, can we in the far flung regions get these printed ourselves at the local print shops and send in the receipts?
It seems like a cumbersome logistical exercise to have Brandon print and distribute throughout the state when we have capable Coordinators & Volunteers already in many places.

Flier looks great, however it seems the AB962 summary should read (Handgun Ammo: Ban on Internet Sales and Gun Shop Fingerprinting/Registration)
I know room is limited, but there is more to it

I've got a local vendor that can do it for less than Kinkos can.
I can also be a point of contact for distribution from San Francisco and the East Bay.

So are the new double sided ones going to be like the one in the first post of this thread but with a back side as well or are they going to be like the ones obeygiant posted up?
I like the originals, not too fond of the 'Halloween text' on the black ones.

If anyone is interested, here's the text of my letter and fax.
September 21, 2009
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger
State Capitol Building
Sacramento, CA 95814
Re: Please VETO AB 962 and SB 585
Dear Governor,
I’m writing to request that you VETO both AB 962 and SB 585.
AB 962 is an expensive boondoggle that purports to target criminals but only harms people who comply with the law. It does nothing to curb the acquisition of ammunition by criminals, who by definition obtain ammunition in contravention of law. Instead, it targets ordinary citizens. Finally, it creates a new expensive bureaucracy in California while at the same time depriving the State of much needed tax revenues. Please VETO AB 962.
SB 585 is an answer without a question. Gun Shows generate a great amount of revenue for the State. Just last weekend at the Cow Palace there was an employee from the Franchise Tax Board surveying retailers to ensure that they were collecting sales taxes. Further, Gun Shows are an opportunity for like minded people to gather, exchange information and discuss their hobbies. There aren’t any records of criminal activities at these shows. Patrons are polite and well behaved. Because SB 585 doesn’t fix any problems the only thing that it could possibly achieve is to deprive the State of millions of dollars in lost sales tax revenues. Please VETO SB 585.
With California in dire financial straits, can we afford to enact feel-good do-nothing laws that further deprive the State of desperately needed revenue?
Please Governor Schwarzenegger, VETO AB 962 and SB 585
With best regards,
Joshua Berger
San Leandro, California
Emails are great. Letters and faxes are better. I'm sure that the Governor knows about the NRA's "one click" system. It takes more effort to actually write something out and stick a stamp on it or run it through a fax machine. Please do it.
Also, please volunteer to distribute the flyers that are being printed right now (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=224328). You can do some good AND a little shopping at the same time.
Please help.
When we show these politicians that we can mobilize, we win.
When we demonstrate that we can get 30,000 volunteers onto the streets to oppose or support legislation, we win.
When we show them how strong and really dedicated we are, we win.
