I need to find a user friendly FFL that will recieve from out of state.
I want to buy a Springfield Gunsite Pistol. Springfield is Cal legal so I hope the Gunsite Pistol is.
Any advice will be well appreciated.
Thank you, Moloney.

Moloney...

Others can tell you about any FFLs in Ukiah, but...

Springfield is Cal legal

No, California new handgun certification is not just by brand, but for a specific brand + model# and configuration (barrel length, material...)

See this webpage for info on what handguns are currently certified for Calif. sale:

http://justice.doj.ca.gov/safeguns/safeguns_new.taf

Select 'Springfield Armory' and look at the models available.

You probably will have to find out the actual model # of your gun - "Gunsite" is just a marketing name. It will have an actual model# in the form of PB9999L (an example, not the actual number).

Or you will be paying for shipping both ways. http://calguns.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

If you wish to be complaint with the DOJ list, another option for consideration is to ask Cory the smithy which Kali-legal models he’s willing to build up for you. You buy it in Kali and have the FFL ship it to Gunsite. Cory works his magic and ships back an awesome masterpiece, and you have a legitimate Kali receipt for it.

Given that its repair work, there are some that broadly interpret the regulations pertaining to shipping directly back to you. Others on this board are more qualified to address this matter.

Bwiese and Gimmejr.
Thanks for the advice. It was a no go but I didn't lose money making a mistake. Still shopping, thanks again.
