Hey! I recently got a wood stock from DesertFALrat(fal files member), it was a little beat up but cheap and it was exactly what i wanted - a project to kill some time and have fun.

these were the pics posted by DesertFALrat on the trader,

it had three decent size cracks and a smaller one, i used gorilla glue and got through them. a little problem i had was that the cracks were there a while and had dirt and crap in them, so the turned out black and are visible but it doesnt bother me - i think it adds to the character. in addition most of the finish was gone on once side, the wood overall looked really roughly made (marks from the machines all over) and there were two stock repairs but its cool too.

i made it dark to hide some of the deeper dents and because i like dark wood stocks. I made the stain in different shades on purpose, i just like the way it looks http://calguns.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
what do you think?

I think it looks great!

From the before pictures I wouldn't have guessed it would turn out that good.

Looks Good Leo! When are you going to finish a set for me? http://www.calguns.net/bow.gif
We still need to get all the Faler's here for a shoot.

I know it's not authentic, but a pair of brit/canadian/aussie hand guards with a matching dark stain would be awesome http://calguns.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
