SNIP

examiner.com In response to the sharp uptick in popular and media interest in the open carry movement since Federal Judge Bruce D. Black ruled earlier this week that the police are automatically liable for damages if they detain people for merely open carrying guns, OpenCarry.org's John Pierce has been working overtime to update that online community's maps . . . California allows open carry in many or most parts of rural areas, but figuring out precisely where it is banned (i.e., that guns must be unloaded) is so difficult that as a practical matter, open carry is not a realistic option.

I actually found the linked article about the ruling much more important and worthy read:

The page has a "Share This" at the bottom left (green icon) that can share the article with just about any social networking site.

Interesting to see such positive upbeat journalism about the open carry movement, especially from the Examiner.

The Examiner isn't the Examiner you're thinking it is. Mike is the author of that article and one of the co-founders of OpenCarry.org.

OH. Assumption makes an- well you know the rest. Figured it was a run of the mill yellow journalist organization as quite a few media outlets are these days... Carry on.
