I have a friend in Nevada who has an FAL I'm interested in, but I was wondering can it be modified to meet Ca. specs. and then be brought in to the state legally? If so what would need to be done.http://i977.photobucket.com/albums/ae252/WileECoyote72/DSC00757.jpg

Its good to go if its not listed
Contact TheDrickel and buy a FAL maglock,
Have your friend install it, then ship to your FFL of choice

First make sure it's not built on a listed receiver.

i dont see it on any of the no no lists so all you have to do is obtain a bullet button and send it to your friend and have him install it and ship the rifle to your ffl.or you can get a solar tactical grip holster and go featureless,no bullet button required and that should be it

You can also do the fixed mag top loading approach. A set screw through a conventional mag release will lock the mag in place. My DSA came equipped from the factory with that feature. There's a fellow on line who sells them or it's easy to d &t it yourself.

Kind of a pain to do it that way, if the BB were a touch better looking I think I'd get one.
