Hi Everyone,
I need your help in getting the word out about our first SoCal Single Friends of NRA fundraiser! If you've ever been to one of these banquets, you know they are a lot of fun, with guns, games, live and silent auctions, raffles, and prizes prizes prizes. Guns this year include a Kimber Ultra Carry II .45ACP and matched set of Ruger Vaquero .45LC cowboy guns.

Please tell your friends; even if they are not single they may know someone who is. Need NOT be an NRA member to attend. You will be supporting a good cause, have a chance to win a gun, and maybe even find true love.

NEW & IMPROVED FLYER / REGISTRATION FORM ATTACHED!

WE ARE AT 60% MALE AND 40% FEMALE ATTENDEES RIGHT NOW!

Cross posted the link to this thread to my Facebook page for the benefit of my single female friends. Hopefully others will do the same and help things out.

That's an awesome idea! Now we just need one up here in NorCal so I can go! :D That would be fun.

"remember e-harmony costs xxx per year , match.com costs XXX per year , and theres no chance to win a gun" :rofl2:

What's an "adult" crowd? We've already got people signed up who are in the 20s age ranges up to the 50's age ranges.

Funny thing is, right now we've got more women signed up than men, and we thought it would be the other way around. Or do men just wait until the last minute?

Any plans for a singles NRA event in San Diego?

If this event in Burbank is successful, we'll be expanding it to other counties and San Diego would be a great one! So help me make this first one a success by posting a link to the flyer everywhere you can! Let's bring a singles event to San Diego!

Yeah.. post up some pictures of the event!

To all the guys - if they do so, keep in mind that a failure to keep comments on said pictures 'classy' will result in 'consequences'. Just a reminder - for us guys, myself included, access to the 'ladies forum' is a privilege, not a right.

LOL.. that's why I said of the "event" and not the "ladies" :)

I suppose it still needed to be said based on some of the board's history..

Will there be one of these in the Santa Barbara Area?

Lissa Davis
09-21-2009, 2:27 PM
Santa Barbara is outside of my territory so no plans that I know of. You can contact the NRA Rep there, Jason Quick jquick@nrahq.org to ask him. He does have a regular banquet there every June or July. But maybe you can make it out to Burbank, it's only about 90 miles -- how far is too far to go for true love? :yinyang:

Hi Lissa,

Question for you, when will the signups for the San Diego event be posted?

Lissa Davis
10-07-2009, 12:35 PM
Hi Digital_Boy,

You mean for the regular San Diego event on 10/24, or for a singles event? ;)

You can buy tickets for 10/24 right now at www.friendsofnra.org/ca -- scroll by date to find the "East County FNRA" banquet. The next one in San Diego won't be until March or April.

If the Burbank Singles event is successful, we might hold one in SD County -- but we need Burbank to be a good one, so tell your friends!!!
