i buster my thumb, cant do much building at the moment, but here is my current situation, ill probably paint the outlines and letters for fun purposes, cant wait to finish it and go out firing :) should order a couple little things while i recover lol

ill have a stage 2 trigger in it and the handgrip from the ruger.

if anyone interested in a complete ruger lower with pistol grip, minus bullet button and minus the butstock PM me, ill listed for sale soon.

If you sell the lower, will Ruger still provide warranty repair if needed?

Nice! That logo should be laser engraved on every gun we own!

the color of the stock lower looks like it matches better....

not sure if ruger will still provide warranty on it, possibly??

yea the calgun looks more bluish black than flat black, i was debating if i should coat it, but i doubt i will ever match it just right, when you part together uppers and lowers with different brands, i dont think they match either??

im more excited about having a ruger 556 calgun.net than having a perfect color fade upper lower :) :)

any have any suggestions on painting the letters and the state outlines? is it best to just use a regular auto spray paint, spray it into a bottle cap and use a tooth pick or a rilly small brush, or get some paint from one of those hobby places with tiny brushes? not sure which one would be more durable, anyone seen any letters painted anywhere?

Nice rifle. Personally I'd keep it all Ruger vs. a put together.
Just get another upper for your calguns lower ;)

Sorry about your thumb.

its healing fast, just cant bent it yet.. well i wanted to build a ruger 556 replica with cal gun lower actually, after the headaches of getting all the parts i decided to go this route ... plus ill be able to put in a stage 2 trigger kit into the calgun lower, since the ruger lower is a stage 1.. so basically im just upgrading it to a better Ruger-SR556CA model :)

Please keep the Ruger together. It's worth more and benefits from Rugers warrantee.

Looks better together. I don't see the point in swapping for a Calguns lower. Build another one
