View Full Version : Inexpensive North Bay FFL transfer?

02-25-2005, 7:58 PM
Looking for an inexpensive FFL transfer (meaning ordering a gun, not a person to person) in the North Bay (Marin, Petaluma, Santa Rosa Benicia, etc).

Any recommendations? And what do they charge for their portion of the transfer fee? Also what do they charge for the DROS? (some charge 25 and some 35 for DROS + their own transfer fee)...total amount would be nice.

Any one know of a reliable FFL in North Bay or South Bay? I'm looking for one that opens on Saturday.

Try BigMac at Irvington Arms if you can make the drive to Fremont?

Else, it is possible that Rob Blank in Milpitas might be around on a Saturday.. dunno for sure though as I've only seen him on a weekday.

Thanks Turbinator, can you post Rob Blank's contact info?

How much is Rob Blank charging?

Rob charges $40+DROS, which isn't too bad, no matter what you're buying or from where, as long as his FFL is on file out there.

You can e-mail him at rmbent@aol.com

Thank you for the info. Does any one have Rob Blank's business phone number and address of business?

As Ted suggests, just drop him an e-mail. He's right off of Caleveras behind the Shell gas station. He's got a small office there, where he normally seems to do real estate.

There's a "Black Dog" guy in Marin, seems reasonable, but I never went through with the deal. I only exchanged some emails with him.

Definitely cheaper to deal with than Marin Firearms (Novato) or Canyon Sports (Martinez).

Call Bob Venkus in Sacramento. 916-764-1045. Great guy. Tell him Adonis send you. $55 including DROS.

I can't promise anything, but give Lefty a call at Custom Gun Stocks in Antioch. (925) 757-6649
He used to charge $10 + big brother fees.
