Just got one of Aim's $79.95 91/30 Mosin's and man, what a deal!

Beautiful gun, all numbers match, comes with all the goodies (bayonet, pouches, oiler, sling, tools, etc) and you can't beat the convinence of having it delivered right to your door! (Assuming you've got an 03 FFL, of course ;))

Before I forget...

:useless:

I know, I know...I'll get some pics up tonight, but it really does look JUST like the one on Aim's web site:

http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Russian_1891_30_7.62x54R_Mosin_Nagant_Rifle.html

So if you've got a spare $80 (well, $100 with shipping) and need a 91/30 to round out your collection, Aim's got a deal for you...

OK, here are some quick and dirty pics...this is essentially how the rifle looked when I pulled it out of the bubble wrap. I wiped some lingering cosmoline from the stock and rear sight and ran a few Break-Free soaked patches down the barrel.

All-in-all, not bad for $100 delivered to your door!!!

They are fun to shoot. I would get several more but I just spent my savings. DOH

Very clean looking rifles for surplus. Lot better than the Big 5 ones. My 03FFL cannot come fast enough.

Thanks...the barrel looks great in person, shiny with sharp rifling and no pitting anywhere...again, easily worth the $100. I've got an immaculate un-issued Finnish M39 that puts this to shame, but I paid a tad more than $100 for that baby! ;)

Nice! I just went to my FFL to check mine out today, it was in great shape too!

I got 4 of them. They are great. The barrells needed a lot of cleaning though. Once they are clean, the rifling is crisp.

Do the numbers match on the floor plate? Thinking of getting a Hex from them.

Yes, on mine at least ALL numbers match...

And I've had great luck with Aim in general...I picked up an M-1 Carbine from them a couple of weeks ago and it was better than described in every way.

when they shipped you the M-1 carbine, did they ship a magazine with it? I was wondering if they shipped a 15 round rebuild kit with the rifle.

No, they didn't ship a mag or a rebuild kit.

Looks nice.

I have a quick question. If you don't have an 03 FFL, and you were to buy a C&R Mosin online, is it the same as buying a C&R rifle in a store? Do you still have to do the 10 day wait, pay the DROS, and buy a trigger lock?

If they run out, JG sales has them for $80 as well.

I'm afraid the answer is yes...and most dealers charge extra for "out of state" transfers...$50 to $75 (which includes the $25 DROS fee). On the plus side, you don't have to pay our crazy-high sales tax on OOS transfers. Depending on the gun, that can save you some serious cash!

As for the lock, if you have a gun safe, you can simply sign an affidavit to that effect and avoid having to buy a lock.

Thanks for the tip on J&G Sales...I bought one of their Walnut K-31's w/ the matching bayonet and it is a beauty!!!!!

My 91/30 should arrive on my doorstep on 9/4. I paid a little more for hand select, so we'll see if it is was worth it. If mine looks as nice as Joe Frank's, I'll be a happy camper..

I just got 2 hex reciever nagants from aim. One was from 1922 and the other was form 1927. Both were in great shape. They were in as good of shape as the round reciever nagants I got from aim. So I now have 6 nagants.:)

Woah- hold your horses- before you go to J&G add a Mosin to cart and hit checkout- you need to find an FFL dealer willing to do the transfer for you. Online dealers will NOT, repeat: will NOT ship a rifle to a non FFL holder... I'm not sure if joefrank64k made that clear enough...

Be sure to let us know!

You asked, so I don't think this is a hijack...

I'm excited that I have a new addition to the family, but still a little disappointed with 'er looks. Maybe I expected too much for a $100 bucks.:)

Born in 1937 at Izzy arsenal, has matching numbers (kinda) The floorplate has two sets of stamps. Has a minor repair to both sides of the handguard below the barrel. Wood has some minor dings (not bad for it's age)
Came with all the accessories as advertised.
I wouldn't waste the extra $ for hand select, lucky it was only ten bucks more.
I will clean him up and try to post a few pics.

All in all, I have a nice piece of history for little money and he will get along well with his other four comrades...

Not a hijack at all, Mr. Wizard!!! Sorry to hear you're not thrilled with her looks! Hopefully, she'll shoot straight for you!

Would like to see the pics when you get a chance!
