I have another rifle of which to inquire the value, a Remington 700 chambered in 300 Win Mag.

It has a fluted SS 27" (with compensator) barrel.

So what do you guys think it's worth?

I don't know the brand of compensator, the owner said he purchased it for $250.

More pictures after the break!

I'd be happy (if looking for one) to pay between $800.00 and $900.00. Nice HS stock. Being a 300 WM I think the brake adds some value and that orange stuff is (I think) just goop, not rust.

Prob around $800 depending on how many down the barrel. If it's got over 1K rounds through it, It's probably worth less.

I'm pretty sure it's never been fired, if so, it's been a max of 5 rounds down the pipe.

It's not rust, just cosmoline, or some other goop. It rubs off with a finger. Plus it's very unlikely there's rust seeing as the part it's on is stainless.

What about the price now? knowing that it's never been fired, and there isn't any rust?

What it's worth and what somebody will pay are two different things.

I think you'd have trouble finding a buyer if you even set it at $700.

$600 would be a fair/good price.

That should be a VSSF.
With the brake, around 700 is probably fair.
