Back when I built my fab ten alot of the manufacturers were selling kits that came with everything needed to assemble a rifle minus the lower. The one I got was a doublestar. Is anyone selling these anymore or are we still stuck searching for parts all over?

I'll sell you a "kit" :) Upper + LPK + Stock Assy + Bullet Button. It's really not that hard to put together all the parts you need. Most of the cheapo kits have some pretty low-end components in them. Our shop is in Costa Mesa if you want to come by and look things over or discuss a build with us.

12 weeks is ludicrous.

I could get a complete rifle ordered in one day, easy. A week if I was being picky about the upper. The only reason I'd wait is if I wanted a very specific upper.

All the other parts are readily available and even during the worst of the obama-panic they were still not hard to find if you were diligent about looking.

The only thing you should have to wait for, for a basic setup, is... nothing. (well there is that pesky 10 24-hour periods wait for the lower, but you mentioned you didn't need that)

The thing with del-ton is that you get a decent product at a really killer price. I can get a basic chrome lined barrel with a 1:7 twist, f-marked a2 FSB, YHM FF Diamond quad rail, M4 extended feedramp with t-marked flat top upper, YHM or Panther comp, CMT collapsible buttstock and LPK for a measly 639 or so plus shipping. Its about on par with a stag upper for the price and that won't include anything else. Yes its a long wait, but its also a great deal.
