Welcome to the Technology forum on Calguns! This is the place to post tech industry related stories, ask questions, talk about science and other emerging technology that shapes our lives.

Rules here will be pretty lax, but please keep partisan politics out of the discussion, this is geared towards science, mathematics, internet and technology.

Thank you!
-Ben.

So this is where we put all our gadget related posts also? Like the perennial 'Help me pick a good DSLR' posts?

I don't know that I'd want a /b/ forum. :p

I like the Tech forum, cool idea. Ben, since this seems to be your idea does that mean you're moderating it?

Ok ok no /b/. Lets all come up with a plan to hack facebook, twitter, and a Time Magazine poll, making Kestryll the most important person of 2009. Also, all females must post t*ts or gtfo.
:43:

Not exactly moderating it (I wouldn't wish moderating on my worst enemies let alone my friends! CGN's fine team of mods will moderate this section.)

GV is nominally sponsoring it but this is YOUR forum!

Basically, anything you'd normally have to post in OT but is tech related belongs here! Unleash the entre-geek within!

Am I the only one concerned that these posts, while humorous, break certain "rules" which generally incur the wrath of a certain "board" somwehere?

Mods: please, please don't let CGN get taken down. I like it too much! Fix this ASAP.

Ah do what now? CGN is quite well protected at GeoVario, which is my company. It's not getting 'taken down' by anyone :)

#1 They wouldnt take down a firearms forum

#2 If they tried to take down every website that mentioned /b/ then they would have to shut down millions of them.

If state sponsored attacks couldn't take us down, 4chan won't either. :43:

That may be true, but it's not "down" as in "downtime" that I'm worried about. What might result is a full-on spam attack of "Twilight appreciation" threads...or worse, like having all sorts of porn subscriptions/random religious texts/death threats sent en masse to Mods' houses.

I have confidence in GeoVario's hardware, but it's usually the wetware that winds up suffering when things like this happen.
