A friend wants me to sell this gun for him, and I don't know much about how much it's worth. I figured some of the gurus on here could help ;).

He told me that the stock is aftermarket, but all the other parts have matching numbers (barrel, bolt, reciever, and magazine) I also saw that the rear sight is aftermarket, but I don't know about the front. Also, I used a bore light to check rifling, and they look great, sharp and almost brand new.

Can anyone tell me about what it's worth?

This reads:
"MAUSER MODELO ARGENTINO 1891.

I don't know what these symbols mean, but I'm sure they're important:

Here's the front sight:

Rear Sight:

So what do you guys think it's worth?

Thanks in advance!

Cut barrel, sporterized stock, and aftermarket front and rear sights... too bad. Those Argentine Mausers are beautiful factory rifles.

Maybe $200? The problem with sporterizing Argentine Mausers is that now you have a rifle with no collector value, but also a sporting rifle in a very uncommon caliber.

Id say $250... but its worth what someone is willing to pay for it!!1

Good luck...

I personally would list it for $225 for a quick sale!
