I'd really love to do just that; unfortunately it isn't possible for this occasion but I look forward to a local meet of just this nature in the future. I'll do what I can to get back down later this year, I think OC is going to do a shoot their way also.

That said- please do what you can to make it. There will definitely be other chances to get together, but we have some exciting things to talk about and can't wait to share them with you all.

Among other very important topics, this is going to be just the venue to more effectively network and promote events like local shoot and meets.

Try to make room on your calendar for the meet and bring a friend or three!

It's where we conspire to rule the world. :43:

But really, it will be a forum to pull together common activist goals, disseminate information about volunteering opportunities, take feedback re: local activity and coordinating events, and much more.

Most importantly, it will be a face-face chance to provide your input on the future agenda and desired outcomes for CA 2nd am activism.

We all read and post here at Calguns about how CA should be, help us create that reality.....and meet some great people while doing it!

Damn, I just noticed the date. I'd really like to attend, especially since it's in my own backyard, but I'll be in Pasadena that night. 40th birthday party for a friend of mine. Can't miss it.

Word of warning to everyone:

CHP and other Cylon forces will be out in DROVES that weekend with DUI checkpoints throughout Ventura County....so play it cool. They're out looking for revenue, so don't give them any reason to extract it from you.

Plus that'll torpedo any short term CCW aspirations you might have.

I'm sure that someone will by a pitcher for the group. Just keep in mind that the CHP is out in force in Ventura county this weekend. Supposedly lots of sobriety check points. Just be careful if you drink.

Thanks for everyone who came and thanks to the guys who pitched in for pizza and beer. I made it home alive on my motorcylce despite leaving at 11:48. I even managed to be the first to find a new Geocache on the way home. Good times.

I thought it was just a nightmare. I can't believe you got up and stripped and then jumped from table to table across the restaurant. Some guys will do anything to raise money for a good cause. But next time, think of the children. ;)

I've always been able to make money stripping at events like these. Just imagine how much you would pay me to stop before it was too late and then multiply that by the number in attendance. Hmmmm, maybe I should do it full time?

Well, thanks to those who provided the pizza! To those of you who didn't make it, you'll have to wait a while to find out all that was discussed! You snooze, you loose. The discussion was mainly centered around the future of Calguns and the CGF, the dirrections they should move in and how we all can help. One way that EVERYONE can help is to promote Calguns to their friends, neighbors, coworkers, LEOs you happen on and even strangers at gun shows/gun shops or anywhere else you happen to be.
