I'm working on a list of sites to cruise to find ammo for sale. Where do you guys buy your ammo online? I've only purchased from Cheaper Than Dirt and Midway so far.

There are a lot of shops in your area that sell ammo. Why not buy from a local dealer and support the dealers that are supporting your sport??:cool2:

No one locally has anything in bulk and in stock.
(However, best ammo deal I've gotten last few years was from a local dealer. About $150 for 500 rounds of .45GAP 230gr JHP. Thanks CWS!)

I've used...

ammoman.com

In addition to the rest add www.georgi-arms.com (http://www.georgi-arms.com) to the list. Their problem is their popularity.

If you consider trying to rape us at $55-$80 per 100 rounds of 45 ACP "supporting" me then you are right. I refuse to pay those rediculous prices. These guys just buy walmart ammo or buy the same ammo online that I am looking at and ten Jack up the prices and try to sell it to us. If there was a local dealer actually selling ammo at decent prices then yes I would love to support them. But until they start charging normal acceptable prices I will take my business elsewhere.

Agree. Too many local dealers want 50 cents to $1.00 per round for stuff that goes for 20 to 35 cents per round online. No one likes feeling like they're getting ripped off.

Ammunition is a commodity. It should be purchased as cheaply as possible. Gun stores these days are crying about the "ammo shortage" and charging $20 for a box of 50 Blazer 9mm which should cost $10-$11. They are using it as an excuse to overcharge, plain and simple.

Gun stores don't to support the local community nor the sport, they exist as any other business does, to make money opportunistically.

Ammunitiontogo.com and Cabelas.

One thing to watch out for with ATG is that the prices seem good until you get to the end of the order process and then the shipping is a lot. That being said the prices are still ok.

Cabelas often has deals for free shipping or free plastic ammo boxes.

I like ammunitiontogo. But has anyone noticed, that one month after using ammunitiontogo, there is a fradulent activity on your credit card on month later. I am not saying they are using it fradulently; I am just wondering if hackers are sneaking out their user's info.

I only ask this, because I have one credit card, that I never use and when I did use it buy ammo. One month later I had some weird activity. And then when I used another card for ammotogo..same thing happened.

It isn't my computer, because otherwise my other cards would have been compromised by now.

Because they're gouging.

I understand they have a business to run and all that, but the cost for them to do business didnt go up 300% in the last 8 months. I dont mind paying a couple bucks more at a local shop for the conviencie of having the product now, but when they're charging $50 for a box of 45, there's no justification for that.

+1 shops around me are selling 50 round boxes of .45s as if its gold. Even a box of wolf .45 is almost $30. Thanks but no thanks.
