Myth Busters crew spotted at Chabot

This was last Friday, 8/7. I don't know what myth they were trying to bust, but it involves cowboy stuff. There were 3 orange human shaped targets in close proximity to each other. I wanted to stick around longer, but I was getting hungry. :o

why rent the whole range out when going on a weekday early morning can achieve the same results? i rather they save money and keep the show going, than waste it on things not needed, and have shorter seasons or lackluster "myths" to bust b/c they couldn't afford to. :p

I'm surprised they didn't just keep using the facilities at Alameda Naval Base / NAS. All that detonation, dockside, warehouse and runway stuff they do is done there. They apparently have an 'in' with the agencies that control that space now that their insanely-liberal neighbors / city drove the Navy out. All those tax dollars wasted on development, just so some SanFran libs can use it for a playground for TV.

that closed facility is not exactly a rated firing range nor a safe explosion site. especially for some of the explosions they do. i'm sure it was discovery channel's lawyers that stop them from doing a lot of the things that go "boom" myths there, while they use that site for most of the vehicular myths or things that don't go boom. like the mini hinderburg, the "missile" air tank, big rigs sandwich of compact car, boat crash, etc

plus a lot of the guns myths, and explosion myths, they call in law enforcement personnel and i'm sure those agencies offered their facility to use to make it as controlled/safe as possible.
