It seems like you have not purchased or at least check the new Express model that remington is selling presently. The lock Im refering is located on the left side of the safety, it is similar to the lock that S&W revolver has on their newer model. To a Brillant person like you it may be a drop in part, but to someone who is not technically and mechanically inclined they are not, so I would have to issue that warning just in case, so I don't have to be liable. Remember the part Im selling is a vital firing mechanism of the shotgun. Still available if interested.

He is just covering his ASSets. I am tempted on this one to get rid of the plastic. His gunsmith thing is just like all the parts sold as drop in. The small print always says, a gunsmith may need to install this part. Even on non vital parts.

BTW remington does not offer these in steel, never did. So who made it?

I think I might have used incorrect wording. When I say STEEL I actually meant METAL. I will edit description. Nobody as far as I know makes all metal trigger assy for 870 except Remington. I purchased this item new from a local gunsmith in my area who has retired thinking I will someday built a tactical SG
