Considering purchase of a Glock 29 (Subcompact, 10mm ). Would like to compare to the Glock 27 (Subcompact, 40 cal). Anyone seen any 29's at any local gun stores? The closer to Riverside/Ontario the bertter.

There's a 29 in Westminster if you're ever out in the O.C. Maybe call around and see if any ranges have some for rent. You probably won't be able to find a 29, but it won't hurt to check.

Best way to describe: the grip feel is the same as a G30, but with the recoil of 10mm. Order it from your local gun shop.

The grip on the Glock 29 is bigger so it is a little easier to hold especially when shooting hotter 10mm loads. To increase the grip there are extensions.
Glock 29 = 10+1 Rounds
Glock 27 = 9+1 Rounds
Oaktree has one for sale.
