If you decide to buy something else to show off to your friends be sure to have at least one Glock in the collection to show the 'bad guy'.

The obvious answer would be a Glock 17 and a good 1911.

Personally, I'll take a Glock 19 and a WC or LB 1911.

If rules dont apply, a Glock 18 (w/ 33rd mags) or Beretta 93R and a HK Mark 23 or USP Tactical with a suppressor : )

Well if there are no "rules" then I definitely have to take back my answer!

I'd go with the Glock 18 as well, and for .45 I would remove the stock and chop the barrel of a FA Thompson submachine gun :)

That's easy.........1911 for the .45ACP and a full size Witness for the 9mm (and buy a 10mm, .40 (and whatever else you desire) barrel!) That's only 2 pistols:))

BTW, no personal experience with Witness pistols (yet) I chose them because I know that they have tons of factory drop in conversions for their full size stuff.

I could only justify carrying a 9mm if it was very small or concealable. I think the HK P7M8 is a nice balance of size and performance.

For .45s I love 1911s but for practical purposes I might go with a Glock 21SF with its 13 rd capacity.

45 - H&K Mark 23 (Most tested Gun in the World)

How can a gun that has only been around for about 15 years be "the most tested in the world?"

If I could only have two pistols I would trade one of them to one of y'all for a match in the other caliber (2 45 ACP OR 2 9mm). I prefer 45 but am more concerned about supporting multiple calibers.

SO.........

2 1911's in 45 ACP

or

2 Hi Power's in 9mm
