There are currently quite a few Model 10's on gunbroker that have been imported, and bidding starts at $199. The pistols seem to be a bit rough.

Is this a good deal? Thanks.

The S&W Model 10 you linked is not on the approved list. So, unless you are a LEO, you won't be able to import it to CA.

The S&W Model 10 in the gunbroker ad is a Model 10-10.

The S&W Model 10-14 is the only Model 10 on the approved list.
So, when searching online for a S&W Model 10, make sure it's a Model 10-14.

Any K frame Smith in good condition is a worthwhile piece for what it is.

The fixed sight models are workhorses, the adjustable sight models can be tackdrivers.

From K22's to model 19's and 66's, the K frame is one of the best wheelguns ever designed.

It's a great deal, I wish I could buy some :-( But in CA a S&W model 10 is not as safe as a 10-14.

The San Jose Gun Exchange was selling some of these recently in about the same condition. If I remember right the price was at least $350 and you'd have paid tax as well.
