and i can't use it on the gun i want.

Its a "NcStar" i got from AmmoBro's and i bought it for my M&P Sub Compact and its too long and wont attatch on the rail in the slot...

SO i figure i'll use it on my favorite handgun, my Sig Pro 2340... well that rail is different :(

My Ruger doesn't have the right rail either, and overall it only fits on my Glock 30.

Oh well... Live and learn, i thought it was all the same... my mistake...

I just got it today so i haven't shot with it yet but it seems sturdy enough... Fully adjustable and the set screws are very tight to adjust (good thing)..

The laser is crisp and perfectly round and sharp and the light is crazy bright (120 lumens)

THere is a 3 position switch in the back to allow you to use the main switch solid on or toggle and you can run laser only, Light only, or Both at the same time.

I got it at Ammo Bro's for $99. I have a TLR-2 and that was $300 at the time i bought it from Brownells and id have to say this feels more solid..... i know someone is gonna jump on me for that remark. But honestly it does... now i'll see if you get what you pay for after i fire off a few hundred rounds and see if it holds zero.

But other than it not fitting the sub compact it feels like a fantastic bang for the buck.

I'll be shooting it tomorrow and i'll make sure to put at least 200rds down range for research purposes :p;)

I will keep anyone interested updated. THey had a Light only one too that i almost bought that was only $30!!!!!.. the light alone is a great deal, we'll see if the dot holds true.

i'll be looking for the combo. i'll be using the Glock 29 while i'm backpacking. having the lite and laser combo would be ideal for me.

I'd like to know how it holds up. I just got a TLR-2 C4, and if this can fit on my 226 and can compare, I may have to pick it up!

I remember the old Sig Pro 2009 and 2340 had a old and funky rail that needed a special adapter and even then only a small number would work.

If you pay $3, you've spent waaaay too much. It's THE bottom shelf brand.

TLR-1 runs ~$100. $99 bucks for a NcStar?:ack2: Sure, it may have a laser pointer, but do you really plan on doing presentations with your handgun?

Old Sigs rails are Weaver style, new guns have Picatiny rails.

Old Sigs rails are Weaver style, new guns have Picatiny rails.

Even Weaver rails have cross-slots; his Sig does not. The only difference b/n Weaver & Picatinny is the size of the slots. If something fits Weaver, it will fit Picatinny; but if designed for Picatinny, it may not fit Weaver.

Hey King, maybe this is a sign you need to "bring more gun.":p

I have a cheap NcStar 2x7 illuminated scope and even though the flip lens covers broke in about 1minute, it did hold its zero for the entire time i had it on my LMT. I would reccomend Ncstar over Truglow products, but yes they are the bottom of the barrel.

Glad to see people keep an open mind.

Just because its not 300bux and or some name like surefire doesn't make it junk....

i just just under 250rds down range today with it attached to my glock 30 .45 cal and it held zero the entire time.

Im not saying this thing is as good as others, heck i have others but for a laser/light combo for 100bux, i don't see how you could go wrong . it held zero and was a crisp dot at 7yards and took almost 250rds down range with ease.

I can't say that im going to go and order a bunch of these for all my other gun's since i don't need that many, but i will be ordering 1 more at least for my g/f's ruger

SO far so good and 1/3 the price of others i own.

Sounds good enough to me. I have some Streamlights but I can use a good, less expensive purchase like this laser/light combo. Thanks.

I've got nearly the same NC star thingy, but the one with only the light.

You know that saying that if it isn't Irish then its CRAP that they did on Saturday night live in the 80's? Well that light definitely isn't Irish...

I got it for $20 at the Cow Palace show, and I guess its worth that.

I had to file it down to get it to fit on my 226. The light housing screws into the light as the battery cover, which is OK for most flashlights, but means that the light housing unscrews as you fire.

I've had it fall off a couple of times, and it won't stay in the "on" position most of the time. This is on a 9mm.

I wish you good luck with your light hopefully you can at least use it as a pocket-flashlight.
