What ammo have you guys been having good luck with, and where have you been purchasing it from? I purchased a .50 DE today, so I need to scoop up some ammo over the course of the next 10 days. Ultimately I plan on reloading, but for the time I'd like to get used to this pistol with decent factory ammo.

That's kind of the point for me starting this thread.

Anybody else have any objective opinions based on their own experience?

When I shot my buddies piece, the factory ammo he had was Magnum Research 300 & 350 grainers - they all ran 100%.

Really, just get a box of factory ammo and go from there. Handloading for the .50 is a must. If I didn't handload, I'd never had bought a Smith .500. The prices for factory ammo for either one is ridiculous.

magnum research
hornady
speer

and if you can find some samson ultra makes a nice fireball

all ran 100% for me, but reloading is your best bet with some H110
