I've never been a fan of bullpup's, my brief encounter before I left the Army with the SA80 was enough to sour me. Just how the hell would you grip it without the pistol grip... it would seem impossible, well highly improbable.

I can only imagine that the firing grip would involve wrapping the firing hand thumb over the receiver, thereby putting the crook of the firing arm elbow in perfect position to act as a brass catcher.

Just fishing for idea.

It's a good one, I just can't figure out how the hell you'd pull it off? "Brass catcher", hah... I sprayed beer through my nose, very droll! http://calguns.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That gun's a turd anyway.

Only bullpup worth a damn is the Steyr AUG and USR.

We've yet to see the reviews on the commercial FN 2000. Got the chance to handle the LE version at SHOT and an FN rep explained the forward fired case ejection system while field stripping it in front of me. Interesting design. Not CAL legal though http://calguns.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Commercial version will have an OD green body, 16" bbl and muzzle brake. Currently the interior space of the buttstock isn't used, but the rep said it may be redesigned to incorporate a storage compartment.

I agree. I sold mine before the ban. It was finiky, ackward and the forearm would get too hot to hold in rapidfire. It wasn't accurate enough to put up with. The trigger was horribly mushy and could not be remedied. I still have one of the defective multi-bend trigger bars in my parts box. I agree with Stevil that it would be very difficult to shoot without the pistol grip. Love my USR in spite of the weird trigger.

Hmmm, makes me glad I did not get one. I had an opportunity just before the ban. To me it felt more like a kit gun rather that a proper rifle. I also seem to remember hearing some stuff about it not feeding reliably too. Too bad. Great idea, poor execution.
