To my understanding you can if you work in the county.

simple answer is No.

More complicated answer is that there is PC that allows for, IIRC, a 1-month CCW that can be issued to you if you work in the county. However, I also seem the remember that no issuing agency has ever issued one of those CCWs.

IIRC, they are actually for 90 days at a time, and then you have to renew. As to a regular CCW, no, you must be a resident of the county in which you apply.

Simple answer: YES.

Whether the application is accepted, granted as a 90-day or regular term, etc. are completely different questions.

Ventura County is famous for issuing 90 day ccw if you work there! My neighbor lives in L.A County but has business in Ventura county. CCW only good in Ventura County!

What a joke!
