What you do with your money is up to you.
But you should look into how donated money is being used. If the organization is poorly run, they will eat up majority of your donation money as cost (administrative, marketing, etc.) and only small amount reaches the targeted recepient.

I know one of the volunteers at Adopt-A-Sniper. His name is Scott Auld and is very active on GlockTalk.

This organization is ALL volunteer so 100% of donated money goes to the cause.

I met a bunch of these guys at SHOT Show this year and Brian Sain is very active on ar15.com. The guys running it are all police or military snipers. I've gladly sent them money and gear in the past and will continue to do so.
