View Full Version : Positive Report - Sig P220

I picked up the gun on Wednesday then cleaned and re-lubricated; also dry fired with snap caps pointing straight up until all the extra factory lube dribbled out between the frame and hammer.

Went to the range on Thursday and fired about 250 rounds of WWB and 10 rounds of Pow'r Ball +P. There was one FTF because I did not fully insert the magazine (I was chambering a round then reloading a full magazine). Other than that user error the gun ran perfectly! I went home and cleaned it again.

Took the gun out again on Friday and shot about 300 rounds of WWB with zero failures (other than my aim, haha)!

Attached is a grouping of 9 rounds from 7 yards with the first shot DA and subsequent shots SA and me being very focused from Thursday :).

Nice shooting.

Yeah, I love my P220 stainless and it loves me with those same results. It is so easy to hold and control to be fairly accurate shooting one-handed. Even under quick consecutive shots.

Come on. Let's see it!

How about a pic of the sig? Did you buy new or used?

With internal or external extractor if it's a new one with rails?

The gun was brand new. It's been less than a month since the gun was "born."

I was able to score a case of .45 ACP from a friend. :)

I'll put some shots of the gun up tonight.

I also got my first P220 within the past month. I don't have target pics, but do have some gun pics. Mine is a P220ST, the all stainless model. It has nickel controls instead of the stock black, and Hogue black aluminum grips. I plan to shoot it for the first time this coming week.

Excellent pictures! I am planning on replacing the controls including the mag release to nickel plated and also putting on a set of Sig aluminum grips.

Attached are pictures of the brothers, both with SigLites!

The other 220 is not mine but in the family. It is a bit older and has an internal extractor. Inserted in it is a Mec Gar 7 round mag with a flush floor plate.

They are both going to be shot extensively at the range next weekend. :)

New version with external extractor and rail.

Glad to see you are liking the gun and obviously shooting it well. They are fine machines and the more you shoot it the more you will like it!!
