I would suggest some form of limit on 'BTT' or 'still for sale' posts.

I see a lot of BTT posts going on every few days on items which don't sell, pushing other items down unfairly.

Maybe we should set a time limit on a BTT post- say no more than one per week fromt he original user, fromt he time of the last posting.

This along with 'no crapping on posts' will really clean up the classified section.

More guidlines can always be added. Maybe allowing 'BTT' by the original poster just once.

What they do at ar15.com, which has a really high volume, is allow a BTT by the OP every 72 hours (I think), which keeps people from clogging up the first page. We're not quite as high volume here, so maybe 1/week or something would make sense.

Based on the current Firearms For Sale forum, it looks like things roll to the second page after about a week, so that may be a good time period.
