Sold Pending Funds (on another forum):

I bought this stock a couple of years ago to put on my Grandfather's vet bring-back (the original stock had been lost to time). I've now come across a correct stock for my rifle, and need to sell this one.

This Kar98k Laminated Erma Erfurt WaA280 stock has been refinished w/ BLO. It has the WaA280 (Waffenamts-proof-markings) on: The bayonet lug, cross bolt, right dismount, left dismount and on the flat butt plate. It has the number 4752 in the Barrel channel, Butt plate and the 52 on the bayonet lug. It has remnants of cartouches on the right side of the butt. There is no crack between the trigger guard opening and trigger slot (as is commonly found). There is a damaged area immediately behind the bayonet lug which is in large part covered by the front barrel band when assembled to a rifle.

Here is the original description that came with the stock:

Research shows this is an early 1939 Erma Erfurt Code 27 or just as possible an early 1938 Mauser Borsigwalde which used the WaA280 that year and because this is 4752f that falls into the early production. But, there is no way to tell if it is either of these two specifically and seems it could be considered either 1938 S/243 Borsigwalde or Code 27 1939 Erma Erfurt as each and every number and proof is correct for either. It does have a small dismount disk but Backbone of the Wehrmacht does not differentiate on this. I do know that 1938 Borsigwalde used the small dismount early so is that a deciding factor???

Please see pictures below. If you need any other photos let me know and I will be happy to send them.

I am asking $115.00 shipped to your door. It will be packed very well. I also have the correct length cleaning rod and a white laminated handguard I will include for an additional $20.00. Payment via USPS Money Order, please.

Thanks,
Jason
