View Full Version : Five-seveN in TPRK

Hello, all. I've long admired the Five-seveN pistol and want to get one when I am of age (I'm currently 16), but I'm not sure if they are legal in The Peoples' Republic of Kalifornia. If nothing else, I know that they come stock with 20 rnd magazines making them off-limits already and I'm not sure if they make 10 rounders or 10/20 for that particular gun. Any knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated.

That is the roster of hand guns approved for sale in CA... Who knows what it will look like or if it will exist when you are able to purchase a handgun...
They are legal in California. FN even makes 10 round magazines for that pistol. I see them for sale all the time in gun stores.
I really like the idea of the Five Seven pistol. If FN would redesign it to be a little less fugly, and if California law would permit the 20 rounder magazines and the armor piercing rounds in California, I'd be all over that gun!

Sweet! Thank you both for the info. I'll be sure to look into these further and try to stay up to date since I love the 5.7 so much. Glad to get such quick responses and helpful posts

Ooh, thank you for that! The gun is on there, after all. As for the changing of times issue, i could always get my dad to own one for a few years while it's legal just in case and then pass it on when the time comes. The only main issue now is the standard 20 round magazine that comes with it. Anyone know if you can fix it to 10 or if they make 10 rounders?
They don't ship the 20 round mags into Cal, just 10 round, unless it's for law enforcement

10 rounders are available. No need to modify 20 round magazines. :)

Their availble if you have a grand to spend on one. If you can, I highly suggest picking one up, they are so choice!

sweet gun, fun to shoot. 5.7x28mm round is controversial. do a search, and you'll find some discussion on the round. I love mine!
