We will be offering anything that is legal to ship to CA , we will be offering bullett button style devices but will not be offering gunmithing modifications to the items that could possibly void the factory warranty . We are open to ideas on devices or other that would legally allow us to ship the item but may have to draw the line if the request is in a gray area.

Would you dissasemble some rifles and ship with out pistol grip , or just dissasemble to the barreld receiver and ship to our FFL and once it is in our possesion we make it CA legal in our own way instead of ways ( bullet buttons) we might not like. Alot of us like to tinker with them and work on making them featureless.

Yes we have taken off the pistol grip / flash hider / lower etc and shipped to the FFL as long as the FFL is informed of exactly what we are shipping them and they agree that it is legal . We would not be able to ship the hi cap mags.

You can't do this with the saiga12 but If I buy an AK or any other semi-auto pistol gripped rifle you can remove the pistol grip and ship it without a bullet button. This way the owner can chose the bullet button he/she wants to use, just don't forget to send the pistol grip.

No we are not shipping mag kits to CA at this time , we will be glad to ship a dismantled mag with a rifle purchase to a FFL dealer.

Basically, a off list pistol, that is not on the certified roster, can be shipped to California FFL if it is modified to a Single Shot (afterward I can be converted by the owner to semi if I understand the law right). If the pistol contains certain banned features, (i.e. mag outside the pistol grip, others I can't think of at the moment) I needs to have a mag lock installed. I am not sure who makes a mag lock for UZI or MAC style pistols. But I know you can use a standard BB or RADDLOCK for the AK & AR style pistols that you use on the rifles. Someone will hopefully come along and clear up what I have written. But if you guys go with a California Legal AK pistol, I will totally be down for one.

Also: Will you be selling a wood furniture CA Legal AK anytime soon? Is there a way I could setup a payment plan on one possibly?

Thanks

How about single shot MACs, UZIs, and AR & AK pistols?

Please correct me if I am wrong here guys, but this is what you would need to do to in order for us Californians to legally purchase and transfer AK and AR-15 pistols.

For an AK pistol, take the AK47 tactical Pistol by Lancaster Arms (http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct626.aspx) on your website and put a magazine lock on it. It also needs to be converted to single shot status. This could be as simple as removing the gas piston or attatching a single shot magazine.

Or for an AR-15 pistol take the Olympic Arms K23 P AR15 Pistol Flat Top (http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct345.aspx), put a magazine lock on it, and put a Bob Sled Single Shot Loading Block (http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=967912).

Basically they must be imported and transferred into California as single shot, but there is nothing against converting these pistols to semi automatic after the transfer.

2 Questions:

Do you make Full Capacity Firearms for the Free States?

Forgive me, I live in Arizona and have no idea what a bullet button is, could someone enlighten me, and if you wish, flame away.......lol, but I ask these questions honestly and seeking knowlegde about them.

BigJohn
02-26-2010, 4:23 PM
A bullet button is put in place of your mag release mechanism, it makes it harder to detach the mag from the gun. You have to move the BB mechanism with a round or a screwdriver, rather than just pushing a button or pressing a lever. It basically turns a rifle with a detachable mag and pistol grip into a rifle with an attached mag and pistol grip as mandated by Ca. law. You could just get a top loading rifle, but this isn't your grand dads nagant ya know. ( No disrespect to the nagant, Ive had more fun with that rifle than my .223)

I've been emailing Atlantic about the AK's for the past couple of days with some basic questions..Damn good service I tell you. Just finishing up my new AR build then gonna see my options for AK platform. Just undecided to go with the Saiga 7.62 and converting it or just getting a straight up AK. I know Saigas when converted are basically good quality Russian AKs. Just dont know if the work of converting is worth it and when after I buy the parts, I coulda just bought an AK. Any ideas or comments??? If I went the straight up AK route, I would want a Yugo or good WASR 10 and just slap a bullet button on it. Not to sure about the American made ones although I know they're great quality. I just figured my AR M4 American made, but my AK as foreign as possible while being compliant (922). AK's to me are supposed to be foreign. JMO

Also, do Saiga 12's need a bullet button even though it does not have a pistol grip?

The IZ240 rifles are the same and they are sold out and not sure if we will see more, all S12 shotguns will ship with a BB installed per the requirements.
